Before The Refresh
Mr & Mrs. Stevens had the usual problems with their conservatory, a nice space but unusable most months of the year thanks to it either being too hot or too cold. The frames of the conservatory itself were in dark, outdated, mahogany timber, and in desperate need of some TLC.
After a consultation with one of our experts, they decided to opt for a full conservatory refresh, in order to both freshen the look of the conservatory and improve temperature control, so they could enjoy the space all year round.
The refresh included, replacing the old glass roof with an insulated tile warm roof, replacing the dated dark timber frames with new modern, white uPVC frames, and replacing the old glass windows, with new energy efficient glass units.
The Installation
We wanted to combat the greenhouse effect these customers were experiencing, so a replacement roof and uPVC in place of timber were the perfect choices to improve heat retention. Without the glass roof and poorly insulated wood frame, this conservatory can now optimise its temperature depending on the time of year, staying cool in summer and cosy and snug in winter.
The sturdy conservatory roof and uPVC frame we installed offer this home many practical advantages. The tight weather seals and improved thermal efficiency mean that now these homeowners can enjoy their conservatory in comfortable, temperate conditions no matter the season.
