What Are The Benefits of a Leka Orangery Roof?
One of the standout features of the Leka System is its lightweight construction, which makes installation quick and easy. The whole Leka Orangery Roof conversion kit can typically be installed in just 1.5 days, so you can start enjoying your new roof sooner. The kit is up to 40% lighter than competitor products, making it the cutting-edge roofing system of choice for many installation companies and Kent homeowners.
The Leka Orangery Roof System is built from four simple ladder kits made from GRP (glass-reinforced plastic), meaning that there are no aluminium or timber components in the build. Not only does this help make the system incredibly lightweight, but it also makes it a cost-effective solution for orangery roof conversions. And if you’re concerned about the durability of the Leka Orangery Roof system, you can rest easy knowing that all products come with a 40-year warranty on Leka materials.
Improved Energy Efficiency
Energy efficiency is another crucial factor when it comes to any roofing system, and the Leka System delivers on this front too. The Leka Orangery Roof system complies with building regulation U-values, meaning it meets the energy efficiency standards required by law. You can enjoy a comfortable living space in your Kent home all year with reduced energy bills thanks to your new thermally efficient Leka Orangery roofing system.
Stage 1 - Installing The Rafters
The first stage of the build is adding Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) rafters, to the existing orangery window frames. This includes a GRP structural ring beam, rafters and ridge.
Stage 2 - Adding Thermal Insulation
Insulated PIR sheets or EPS are then added allowing a 15mm gap from the internal sheets.
Stage 3 - Installing Outer Sheets
Next, the load-bearing, insulated outer sheets are added. These ensure less roofing bars and more efficiency.
Stage 4 - Adding A Weatherproof Coating
A coating is then applied to the outside to weatherproof the surface.
Stage 5 - Adding The Glass Lantern
The glass lantern is then installed on top of the structure and fixed into place.
Stage 6 - Adding Roofline Features
uPVC fascias and cappit are then attached to the edges of the structure, allowing guttering to also be added.
Stage 7 - Installing Internal Boards
The final structure stage, is to add either Leka internal sheets, or plasterboard, underneath the GRP rafters.
Stage 8 - Adding Plaster & Lighting
The underside of the roof then is then plastered, and lighting can be fitted.
